Destination Wedding in San Francisco

Working with Lynn and Brian on their wedding day was a real pleasure. These folks made their way to the golden state from Rhode Island and chose San Francisco as a destination for their wedding. They were so excited to be in California and catching a break from the East Coast winter. We had a great time documenting their ceremony and taking portraits around one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. What struck Chris and I most about these guys and their close family was how genuine and easy going they were. We have been so happy working at City Hall as of late and our experience with Lynn and Brian keeps the positive vibes moving along. We wish this East Coast couple all the best and hope they come back to our lovely state soon!

Wedding in Larkspur

We had such a great time working with Michelle and Chris at their wedding in Larkspur last month. We started our day in San Francisco with close friends and family as Michelle put some finishing touches on her hair and makeup. The day had threatened rain but everything stayed dry as we took the wedding party and headed to the Legion of Honor for some portraits and a first look. The Legion of Honor provided some beautiful locations and the lively energy of the wedding party made for some great images. Then it was off to the Tavern at Lark Creek for a lovely indoor ceremony within the natural light of the sun room. After Chris and Michelle exchanged vows, the food was served up and all the folks who came to witness the joining of this couple made themselves at home in this fantastic venue. Nicolette's Yoga Portraits

Recently, we had the opportunity to work with local yoga instructor, Nicollete Tura of The Illuminated Body.  We met at a nearby park and took photos for Nicollete to use on her website and social media. We always enjoy shooting fitness portraits and we had a great time working with Nicollete. A Quick City Wedding

We love shooting weddings at San Francisco City Hall and so far 2014 has been the year for it! Our most recent city hall clients, David and Cristen, brought us one we will always remember. We met the couple at their home in Berkeley and took some fun candid portraits of the two of them finishing breakfast and buttoning up some final details before heading out to city hall. Once there, we had the pleasure of being the only folks to witness their intimate ceremony. After the officiant declared David and Cristen married we watched as the couple exchanged some more personal vows that each of them had prepared. It was such a lovely moment to be part of and reminded us why we do what we do. A few days after their city hall wedding in San Francisco we traveled up the coast to a home in Sea Ranch that David and Cristen had rented for some R&R. We captured some wonderful moments with these two just hanging around the beautiful landscape that is the northern California coast. We absolutely loved working with these two and and wish them all the best as they move on together.

Intimate wedding at Mar Vista Cottages

Small and intimate weddings always have a lovely feeling about them and we love having the opportunity to photograph them.  Alison and Noah had a small, casual, family and friend's wedding up the Northern California coast right outside of Anchor Bay at the Mar Vista Cottages.  We have been lucky enough to document weddings at this special place the past 3 years and we continue to appreciate all this venue has to offer. Alison and Noah exchanged vows beneath a wonderful handmade hapa as the sun set behind the coastal cypress grove.  After the ceremony it was down to the lower green where local vendors provided cocktails and served a fantastic dinner inside the glass house at a long family table.  Well-wishers gave toasts and recounted fond memories while enjoying yummy deserts from Franny's Cup and Saucer.  Cafe lights lit up the dance floor as folks wrapped up a wonderful celebration of Alison and Noah's love for one another.
