Just like that June is almost over and our wedding season is in full swing! We recently finished editing Jessica and Nathan's wedding whose event took us from the top of Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County to the Shakespeare Garden in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park and finally to the Potrero Hill neighborhood for their reception at the Axis Cafe. Everything about this wedding was just right. We had plenty of time for portraits of the bride and groom, the park made a lovely backdrop for a very heartfelt ceremony officiated by the grooms father, and it all wrapped up with a fun reception at one of our favorite San Francisco cafes. We're excited to share these photos and wish Jess and Nathan all the best on their adventure together. Chris and Christian
Oakland Senior Portraits
School is out and Summer is here but before we roll into our busy wedding season we took a look back at our late Winter and Spring workload. We realized that this past year brought us the opportunity to work with some awesome high school seniors. We have always been into doing senior portrait sessions and this year had the chance to work with great folks from the far reaches of Contra Costa county and all throughout Berkeley and Oakland. We approach these sessions in a candid fashion and always keep them lighthearted and fun. We're looking forward to working with another round of young people next year. Chris and Christian
U.C. Berkeley Engagement Session
We met Farzaneh and Sobhan on the U.C. Berkeley Campus the other day and we took a leisurely stroll around the grounds. We kicked it off at the Eucalyptus Grove, made our way to the Campanile, and finished at the Faculty Glade. The Cal campus made for a lovely backdrop as we captured some sweet engagement photos.

Berkeley House Wedding
We started the 2012 wedding season with a very lovely house wedding. Sam and Joe invited us to document their gathering of close family and friends at a wonderful home in the Berkeley Hills. The ceremony was short and sweet and afterwards we made our way to the couples home in the Diamond District of Oakland. Their home had been transformed into a cozy banquet hall where everyone had a chance to socialize and mingle with one another. Tasha De Serio and her team prepared a delicious meal right in Sam and Joe's kitchen. It was such a treat to watch the food being prepared on site. We enjoy being apart of small, close knit weddings and love how these events are always so full of meaning and sentiment. Chris and Christian
Our first Mar Vista Wedding
About two weeks ago we had the opportunity to photograph an intimate close friends and family wedding at the Mar Vista Cottages in Anchor Bay, CA. When the phone call came in for this wedding we were both super excited! Christian and his family have been visiting these cottages since he was kid and they hold a special place in his heart. It was our very first Mar Vista Wedding and it was the perfect setting for such a small, close knit event. Tom and Renata, the owners of the cottages, did a fantastic job setting up the grounds and preparing all of the right details to make it a beautiful evening to photograph. Sara and Eric brought this opportunity to us and they were such an easy couple to work with. Together with their family they made us feel right at home and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect Fall wedding.
