Last month we photographed Cindy and James' wedding at the UC Berkeley Faculty Club. It had been a long time since we last worked there so we were both excited to explore the campus with our bride and groom. The UC Berkeley Faculty Club is one of our favorite hidden gems in the East Bay.  We love the combination of the open and airy outdoor ceremony site on the lawn paired with the rich architecture of the Great Hall. Wedding guests get the best of both worlds in one night-they get to enjoy the warm sun outside for the ceremony and end the evening feeling cozy at communal style tables in the cozy lodge style great hall. 

Cindy and James got ready on site and the natural light in both of their rooms was awesome. Their ceremony took place outside on the glade with a beautiful paper flower backdrop that the bride custom made. The paper flowers were sprinkled throughout the decor of the wedding, giving the ceremony and the otherwise less colorful great hall a pop of fun. Cindy even brought the fun style to her hair by wearing the same bright and beautiful colors in her updo. The handmade details of this wedding really brought the UC Berkeley Faculty Club to life. We love returning to our favorite venues to see the personal style that each couple can bring to the space. 

Throughout the entire day there was live music which provided a great atmosphere and got all of Cindy and James' friends and family up on the dance floor.  It was great to see so many people enjoying each other and having a great time celebrating and toasting to Cindy and James. We loved shooting their wedding and getting to know them and their fun group of friends, family and loved ones.
