Engagement Sessions
We met Farzaneh and Sobhan on the U.C. Berkeley Campus the other day and we took a leisurely stroll around the grounds. We kicked it off at the Eucalyptus Grove, made our way to the Campanile, and finished at the Faculty Glade. The Cal campus made for a lovely backdrop as we captured some sweet engagement photos. Farzaneh and Sobhan will be married later this year and then it’s off to Paris, France to finish up school and start their lives together. We wish them safe travels and a hearty bonnne chance!

These guys have a love that has friends and fun written all over it. Shooting with Aaron and Kat at the Tilden Botanic Gardens in the Berkeley Hills was nothing short of a darn good time. These guys both have a great sense of humor and had a very natural way about them. They are clearly very much in love and we are super looking forward to taking photos at their wedding celebration at the Axis Cafe in San Francisco later this month.

Taking photos pretty much takes us anywhere and everywhere around the Bay Area. After booking our engagement session, Matt mentioned that he had an awesome hook up for a sweet location out in Fairfield, CA. His boss owns a very large plot of land out that way and Christian and I were stoked for the possibilities. We met our couple as the sun was setting and we captured some bangers! Matt and Krista were super laid back and easy going folks and we’re excited to be shooting their wedding in Petaluma this Summer.

Just before the holidays we spent the afternoon with Florence and Phillip taking engagement photos around the Oakland Hills and Alameda. They were a cute couple with great style and helped us take some sweet shots. They brought along their little dog Maggie and she took part too! We were hoping to shoot their Hawaii destination wedding but we were already booked to shoot another great Bay Area wedding that weekend. We wish this couple all the best in their future together!

We met Kelli and Kevin at the Tilden Park Botanic Gardens in Berkeley to take some sweet fall engagement photos. This park comes off as a pretty small garden but Kelli and Kevin had spent some time there and were pretty familiar with the layout. We all took sometime to explore and stop along the way to capture some great moments. This couple was so easy to work with and they were very comfortable taking some direction as well as just taking time to be together and allow us to shoot some special candid moments. We’re really looking forward to working with Kelli and Kevin next year at their wedding!

We had a chance to spend some time with Brad, Lynlee, and their dog O’Malley last weekend. We met up in San Francisco at Golden Gate Park to take some engagement photos. After the park we hit up Fort Point at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. Weather was perfect and we had an awesome time capturing photos of this great couple. We’re really looking forward to shooting their wedding in 2012!

It’s lookin’ like Fall has arrived in the Bay Area! A few weeks back we met up with Jean and Zach to take some fun engagement photos. We had planned on meeting at the Berkeley Marina but as we arrived the fog had rolled in and it was breezy and cold! We decided that a backup location was needed and we quickly remembered an area around the North Berkeley BART station. When our couple arrived they were relieved to hear our back up plan and after a short drive we got down to business.
These guys were so easy to photograph and we really enjoyed working with them. With more engagement sessions on the way we’re excited for the new Fall flavor!

A few months back we met with Bobbie and Ineca to discuss photographing their upcoming wedding in the Summer of 2012. They had mentioned an interest in scheduling an engagement session and we jumped at the opportunity to have some time to work with them sooner than later. Straight from the start, the couple were vocal about their love for Oakland and our shoot locations held special significance to the both of them. We started our session at the Skyline Serpentine Prairie in Redwood Regional Park where we spent over an hour shooting in sweet golden light and wide open spaces. To top it off, they brought along their 2 super cute pugs, Romeo and Beau.
We hopped in the car and after a short drive we finished our session at Lake Merritt in Downtown Oakland. The lake and surrounding cityscape gave us a nice variety to work with. Our shoot with Bobbie and Ineca was super fun and it was a great way to get know the couple before their wedding next year.

About a year ago we began shooting engagement sessions with some of our wedding clients. In the beginning it was a slow roll but after a few sessions under our belt things started to pick up and this year eSessions have just taken off! Lately we’ve been out capturing images of newly engaged couples multiple times in a week. We’re really excited to have the opportunity to capture these moments and be apart of all these new beginnings. Below is a collection of some of our recent sessions.

Hey hey,
It’s been a busy wedding season and we haven’t had too much time to update the blog. With one more wedding left to go things are starting to settle down. It’s time to start playing catchup!
A few months back we had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session with our friends Erin and Damian. We met up at their North Berkeley home and meandered around their cute neighborhood. They were super easy going and down to just “wing it”. We brought along some balloons as a fun prop and off we went. Along the way we discovered a sweet little alley, stairs, and a parking garage that all made for cool locales.
Engagement sessions are always fun but Erin and Damian made our job super easy. Check out some of our photos from the shoot and stay tuned for photos from their wedding we shot at Stern Grove in San Francisco earlier this month.
