Kids

Just got an opportunity to post a little something, the kids are asleep. Wanted to let the community know that both Chris and I are super into shooting kids and family. The main subject matter shown is my kids, Chloe, Cyrus and Quinn, but would love to have the opportunity to shoot other kids. If anyone is looking for special shots of family members including kids or other we are available. Our costs are affordable and we do quality work. Please feel free to call or email with questions. Thanks.

Lighting Debacle

So just when you feel like things are coming together, another road block comes up. Such is the case with our current lighting/studio situation. Chris recently threw down some bucks to secure an alien bee b800 for the team. When the light showed up we ran some test maneuvers at our "studio". Things were super cramped to say the least, it leaves us feeling a little stressed out. Another piece to the puzzle is that our background support system is on a backorder and we wont see that until early October. I have faith that some solution will reveal its self when our backs are to the wall. The great thing, I think, is that all the right stuff to have is being accumulated so when it all goes down we have the tools to do the job. A ghostbusters quote "we have the tools, and we have the talent!"

Built For The Sea Shoot

As posted before, e&b photography had an opportunity to shoot local band Built For The Sea. Well the shoot happened and all things considered the results were good. Chris and I figured Fort Funston, see previous post, would shape up to be a great location because of many different aspects. The band members showed up, and we began the session. The night came quick, cold ,and windy. Chris and I used a lot of different techniques, and were thankful once again to be a two person team. As I stated before location shooting is fun, but location shooting at night posed a big challenge. Big thanks goes out to Lia, Johnny, Eric, and Daniel for the willingness to work with us. Look forward to shooting the band again in the near future. Parting thoughts would be take the risk of something new, and gain the experience, always for the better.

Santa Cruz Shoot Down

Talk about a great time! Both Chris and I are so stoked about the family shoot, it's hard to believe it's over. Chris and I arrived at location, Soquel Beach, at 7:30am. We got our bearings and awaited the family. Leslie and her team showed up at 8:00am. After introductions we got started, shooting this collection of people was very comfortable and fun. An hour and a half later we parted ways feeling very mission accomplished. This shoot was a great experience across the board, and it leaves us wanting to do more. We would like to give thanks to Leslie and her family for the opportunity, hope the shoot provided the results she was looking for.

Built For The Sea

Oh my gosh, just received exciting news. Chris and I are slatted up to do a location shoot with the band members of Built For The Sea. This is an awesome band that we had a chance to see and photograph in San Francisco just recently. Location shooting is super fun and as soon as Chris and I finish the shoot we will post some shots on the page. It seems that when it rains it pours and e&b photography is project heavy right now, I hope the momentum continues to roll on.

Food Shoot

The e&b team on September 6th 2007 had an opportunity to shoot some food dishes for local chef Philip Gelb. This was a fantastic chance to try our hand in an area that has always interested us. Philip was a real easy person to work with, he prepared about four dishes and allowed us to eat all the dishes he put together. The whole event went real smooth and leaves both Chris and I wanting to do more food shots. We definitely came out of the shoot with some better info on how to do better work next time, which is what its all about. Big thanks goes out to Philip Gelb and his operation, In the Mood for Food.

Fort Funston

Chris and I and two of my kids, Chloe and Cyrus, went to visit a San Francisco beach yesterday. We went with the idea of foggy/misty shot opportunities but the weather went clear on us. As a result the day equaled sunny beach shots, and a great time. The kids love any chance to mingle with dogs and there was no shortage of this animal. A major downer was that Chris' camera battery died on him pretty early in the day so I was left with my trusty rig to finish up the day.
I would recommend this beach as a great place to go and capture or just chill and enjoy what ever kind of weather you run into.
